Shipping Policy
At OCR International, we ensure safe, timely, and professional delivery of all home textile shipments to our international buyers. Our shipping process is transparent, well-documented, and compliant with global export standards.
- Shipping Methods
We ship worldwide using the following modes:
- Sea Freight (LCL/FCL) – Primary mode for bulk orders
- Air Freight – Available on request
- Courier (DHL / FedEx / Aramex) – Samples only
- Shipping Terms (Incoterms)
We offer the following Incoterms depending on buyer preference:
- FOB – Free On Board (Nhava Sheva / Mumbai)
- CIF – Cost, Insurance & Freight
Default shipping term: FOB or CIF Nhava Sheva – Mumbai Port
- Shipping Time
- Production Time: 7–25 days depending on quantity & product
- Sea Transit Time:
- Kenya (Mombasa): 10–16 days
- South Africa (Durban): 18–28 days
- UAE: 4–7 days
- UK/Europe: 22–35 days
- USA: 28–45 days
Shipping times may vary due to customs congestion, port delays, and vessel schedules.
- Packaging Standards
We follow international export-grade packaging:
- Individual polybag or custom brand packaging
- Bundles/sets as per order
- Corrugated cartons with waterproof lining
- Carton marking as per buyer requirement
- Palletization on request
All products are inspected before packing.
- Shipping Documentation
Every shipment includes:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading
- Certificate of Origin (Chamber / FTA)
- Fumigation Certificate (if required)
- Insurance Certificate (for CIF)
- Test reports (if required)
Extra documents can be arranged upon request.
- Tracking
Once the container or LCL shipment is loaded:
- Vessel name & voyage number will be provided
- Tracking link will be provided from the shipping line
Buyers can track real-time shipment status.
- Shipping Charges
Shipping charges depend on:
- Mode of transport
- Destination port
- Total CBM / Weight
- Incoterm chosen
A detailed rate will be provided in the Proforma Invoice (PI) before order confirmation.
- Customs & Import Duties
- Export duties and documentation in India are handled by OCR International
- Import duties, VAT, port charges, customs clearance in buyer’s country are the responsibility of the importer (unless DDP is agreed)
- Delays & Responsibility
OCR International is not liable for delays caused by:
- Port congestion
- Customs clearance delays
- Weather conditions
- Shipping line rescheduling
- Strikes or force majeure situations
We will assist and communicate updates throughout the shipment.
- Damage or Loss
For CIF shipments, goods are covered under marine insurance until arrival at the destination port.
In case of damage or loss:
- Buyer must notify us within 48 hours
- Provide photos/videos
- Insurance claim will be processed as per policy terms
- Sample Shipping
Samples are shipped via:
- DHL
- FedEx
- Aramex
Sample shipping charges are usually paid by the buyer unless agreed otherwise.
